Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs optional, for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
  • Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cooked noodles, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, frozen vegetables, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  • Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish. Spread evenly and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top. If desired, add breadcrumbs for an extra crunch.
  • Bake: Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with a side salad or bread
