Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • cup water
  • 8 taco shells or tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is cooked through.
  • Add Seasoning: Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
